Collection: Riparian plants

A water garden is made up of several elements that compose an ecosystem.
In order to recreate an aquatic ecosystem, it is important to know the characteristics of the place or location where this aquatic garden will be installed.

Here we are thinking about the climate (Mediterranean, continental, oceanic, etc.), the amount of sunshine, rainfall, wind exposure, the nature of the soil, but also the characteristics of the water that will be used to fill the basin.

Scientifically, all of this is called a biotope.
This biotope, when known and recreated, will allow the hosting of living beings (plants, fish, mollusks, insects, amphibians, invertebrates, etc.) which are scientifically called the biocenosis.
