Filipendula ulmaria is a large perennial growing to 150 cm in height.
Its flowers, in vaporous clusters, are composed of creamy white flowers. Its green, cut foliage, reminiscent of elm leaves, gave it its name.
It grows naturally in partial shade or in the sun, on the banks of watercourses.
