Mimulus ringens is a perennial forming a bushy turadon 60 cm high, the blue flowers with a yellow throat in the shape of a tubular calyx appear from June until the end of summer.
The leaves are lanceolate, long and narrow, sometimes slightly toothed, dark green on an erect, square, brown stem.
